LaunchLab (High School Entrepreneur Bootcamp)

LaunchLab is a four-week, hands-on program designed to ignite students' entrepreneurial spirit by teaching them how to identify problems, generate innovative solutions, and develop essential business skills. Guided by a problem-solving approach, students will learn to research real-world needs, design effective solutions, and build foundational business models. From exploring the basics of branding and budgeting to crafting a compelling pitch, LaunchLab empowers students to bring their ideas to life. By the end of the bootcamp, students will have created and pitched a unique business concept, giving them a powerful toolkit for future ventures.

Week 1: Problem Identification & Ideation

• Goal: Discover and define real-world problems to solve.
• Activities include a “Problem Scavenger Hunt,” brainstorming sessions, and selecting a specific problem to focus on for the remainder of the program.

Week 2: Research & Solution Development

• Goal: Understand the chosen problem deeply and develop potential solutions.
• Students conduct interviews or surveys, analyze findings, and refine their problem and solution based on real-world insights.

Week 3: Building a Business Model & Branding

• Goal: Develop a basic business model and brand identity for the solution.
• Students work on the Business Model Canvas, create a unique value proposition, and design a brand identity, including a name, logo, and tagline.

Week 4: Pitch Development & Presentation

• Goal: Prepare and deliver a compelling pitch for the business idea.
• Students learn storytelling techniques, practice public speaking, and refine their pitch through peer feedback before the final presentation.

Week 5: Reflection, Iteration, and Next Steps

• Goal: Reflect on the journey, gather feedback, and plan next steps.
• Students review their journey, make improvements based on feedback, set future goals, and participate in a closing showcase of their work.

Each week builds on the last, leading you through the entire process of turning an idea into a pitch-ready business concept. This timeline ensures a balance of learning, creating, and reflecting, so you’re fully prepared to bring your vision to life by the end of the program.
